Getting to Know You

1. Ginger is part of our office staff, and she is our point of contact for all new potential clients. Clients can call us at (803)-524-5855 (RBC does not take texts) or email us at info@ryersonbrothers.com

2. Ginger will ask some preliminary questions to get to know the project to determine if Ryerson can meet your needs as a potential client. (Est. timeline 1-2 days)

3. If RBC can meet your needs and you are ready to become a client, Ginger will send an email with instructions to take pictures of the space(s) you want to remodel or expand. This helps our sales team understand the project prior to making the appointment. (Est. timeline 1-2 days)

Looking at the Space

4. Once we have preliminary project pictures, Jim or Jesse will text you to set up an appointment to meet you in person, take a closer look at the space, and gather info for an introductory estimate for the requested scope of work. (Est. timeline 1-3 weeks)

5. Clients receive an introductory estimate and can decide to proceed with the process or stop here. (Est. timeline 2 weeks)

6. For clients that are ready to start on their dream project, Jim or Jesse will create a detailed final proposal based on the introductory estimate. The final proposal requires a $300 non-refundable fee. (Est. timeline 2 week)

Making it Official

7. Once the final proposal fee is paid, clients receive an email from Crystal or Ginger containing the full contract packet which includes the final proposal, full contract, and a detailed process flow. (Est. timeline 1-2 days)

8. Clients are asked to read over and sign the full contract packet and bring the signed packet to Ginger at the office in order to pay the project deposit. We require a 30% deposit of your total project cost minus the $300 proposal fee you already paid. (yes, that goes towards your project!)

9. Once the deposit is paid, RBC’s Client Relations Coordinator Johnathon, reaches out to you to schedule an initial meeting with himself and the superintendent assigned to your project. (Est. timeline within 1 week)

Starting Selections

10. Johnathon and the superintendent go out to the client’s home to take measurements, understand the client’s vision, and get a more in depth look at the space.

11. Johnathon maintains contact with you, until plans, permits, and selections (paint colors, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, lighting options, etc.) are complete and work is started on the house.

12. If the project requires a permit, the project superintendent will begin their planning process while the client is making selections. (Est. timeline 4-8 weeks)

Remodeling Begins!

13. Once all selections are done and permits are issued, your superintendent will set a start date for the project. (Est. timeline 2-3 weeks)

14. Then the fun starts! Walls are knocked down, cabinets are replaced, backsplashes are tiled, and the dream starts to take shape. Your project superintendent is your go-to lad or lass from here on out. They provide updates, schedule subcontractors, collect checks, solve issues, and answer questions.

15. We collect payment along the way - a.k.a. progress billing. Progress billing is a type of invoicing that bills clients along the way. This is to ensure we complete our work to the highest standard possible and clients fulfill their financial obligations.

Finishing Touches

16. As we near the end of the project the superintendent will create a “punch list” to make sure all the details are covered before final sign off.

17. After clients sign off we collect the final payment.

18. Our work is warrantied 1 year from the final sign off date. The duration of some manufacturers’ warranties outlast our warranty, and homeowners can follow up with the manufacturer directly.
